National Selection & The Altofts Connection
Our programme proves that community dedication yields elite, professional results - exemplified by standout talent Laura Marvel Oswago, whose dominant performances earned her a recall to the national Kenya Lionesses 7s squad.
Our link to West Yorkshire runs deep: local families and clubs in Altofts have welcomed Gem athletes including Tim, Felix, David, and Dominic to train, live, and compete in the UK rugby pyramid. Supporting this year's Scarecrow Festival celebrates that partnership as we continue backing the next generation of international athletes.
What We Collect & Distribute
We collect clean, usable rugby kit, training bibs, sports bras, match balls, and boots across UK clubs. Outgrown gear is packed and shipped directly to youth sides, primary schools, and community setups in Likoni.
Coaching & Player Development
Structured clinics provide players with formal coaching, conditioning, and competitive fixture experience. We build direct bridges from coastal age-grade leagues into national performance camps - proven by representative honours like Laura's Lionesses 7s recall.
Dedicated Pitches & Facilities
Sustainable development requires a permanent home. We are working with local coastal leadership to secure long-term training pitches, storage, and community facilities in Likoni, expanding playing access across Mombasa and beyond.
